Keep Your Fire Burning
It's a cold winter night, and you're staying cozy in a log cabin.
There's a fire crackling away, providing warmth and comfort to keep you safe and sound. But, as time passes, the fire begins to lose its intensity. It’s no longer as strong as it once was, and the temperature in the cabin starts to drop. What do you do?
Well, you could step outside into the frigid cold, gather fresh logs, and feed them into the fire. This would give the fire the energy it needs to burn brightly and keep you warm throughout the night.
But there is another option. You could take logs from your cabin and feed them to the fire. Sounds convenient, right? After all, the logs are right there, and you don’t have to venture into the cold. However, here's the catch—if you keep using logs from the cabin, eventually there will be no more logs left, and your shelter will fall apart. The warmth you need to survive will also fade.
Now, let’s think about your body the same way.
Your body needs fuel to perform at its best. When you eat nourishing foods, it's like adding fresh logs to that fire. You will maintain more muscle, better energy, and feel strong enough to live your best life. But if you don’t fuel your body properly, it will start to “consume” itself for energy—just like using the logs from your cabin. Your muscles, your strength, your well-being—they will begin to break down.
So, just like we wouldn’t want to break down our log cabin, we don’t want to let our bodies break down. Otherwise, where will we live?
Keep fueling it with the right nutrition, and you’ll maintain the energy and vitality you need to stay strong and healthy, ready to face whatever challenges come your way.
So feed your body with the fuel it deserves, and don't let your fire burn out.
